RNAS Yeovilton Airshow 2011

This Years Yeovilton had a great selection of old and new, rotary and fixed wing participants.

The 1 Day Saturday show had a real nice blend.

The highlight of the static being a German F4 Phantom from Jagdgeschwader 71 based at Wittmund.

Aswell as the Annual assault demo from the home team, the French Navy contributed with a Super Entendard and Rafale old and new routine .The Polish Air Force Mig29 demo from Minsk was also a real highlight along with the Sea vixen and Vulcan in formation.

The Dutch Air force Apache with its flare release also  put on a great show display.

Celebrating 40 Years of the Westland Lynx, many historic examples were on static show.

In the air, 1 of the new wildcat helicopters from the Westlands factory in Yeovil flew a small routine.

The wildcat is soon to enter service with the British Navy and Army .

Also 702 and 815 Naval Air Squadron from RNAS Yeovilton massed launched to form diamond 9 flypast.

Although on a smaller scale to some shows the content was fantastic, something for the enthusiasts and familes attending to enjoy.

The photos below have been taken during the Saturday show aswell as the Thursday and Friday arrival Days.
