Turkish Air Force 100 Year Anniversary Show

 

Over the Weekend of the 3rd and 4th June 2011, the Turkish Air Force  (TAF) held a Anniversary Airshow at Cigli Airfield near Izmir.

Celebrating 100 Years, the Airshow had a great mix of TAF on show along with many of the most well known display teams from around the World.

The Turkish stars and Solo Turk F16 represented there home Country.

Highlight of the foreign Aircraft gathered were the Pakistan JF17 and F16.

Display teams from the UK, USA, Italy, France, Croatia, Poland, Spain made up a large part of the flying display to help celebrate the 100 Year celebrations.

On the Saturday of the show a large TAF inventory flypast was flown as part of the opening of the event.

The 1st enthusiasts spotters Days at a Turkish Airshow held on the Friday and Monday before and after the show helped turn the long Weekend in Izmir into a huge success.
