Sunshine and Snow

                     After the 2/3 Week break for Christmas, I was itching to get out and start 2010.

High on the list was Raf Cottesmore in Rutland. The reason... because the goverment have decided to close the base in the near future. However the wintery weather had other ideas and RAF Cottesmore was shut due to snow.

This snow ensured many bases had little or no flying, however they tried there best to keep the runway open at RAF Coningsby in Lincolnshire. Maybe due to the quick reaction alert (QRA) that is based there.

Also included in this page is a few of Apache  Army Air 789 on Deptford Down on the 8th January.
