"Exercise Dadalus 2010"

                          For a few Days from the 25th of January i visited Zeltweg in Austria

  Every Year in late January the World Economic Forum is held in Davos Switzerland.

The Meetings are held with tight security both on the ground and in the air with Switzerland and Austria providing many assets from Troops, radar stations to aircraft.The Air space above Davos is kept secure during the meetings.

This Year the Swiss flew from Meiringen with there F5s and F18s. Austria provided detached Pc7s to Innsbruck,  typhoon missions were flown from Zeltweg and a number of helicopters were detached to the Vorarlberg area.

The Austrian Air Force has now got there full compliment of 15 Eurofighters.

Operating from there new barns on the South side of the runway they flew with 1 IRIS T short range missile each.

The mission time was very impressive, nearly 2 hours  without centre line tanks
