The C130 Hercules are all currently based at RAF Lyneham in Wiltshire.

Heavily tasked with on going over seas deployments , the past Years of seeing many in formation in the South West of England are gone.However the Herc is still going strong and carrying out many roles.

Often they can be seen tactically flying in Wales LFA7 at low level.

After this route they can often end up dropping many stores by parachute at either Keevil near Lyneham , Everleigh or Fox covert drop zones on the SPTA.

The C130 can also troop carry and be a refuel to helicopters at a forward base.They can carry out short landings at beaches or grass strips such as Deptford Down on the SPTA.
